Observation of people and nature has been a life long fascination. I started capturing this intimacy in split second clicks when I was eighteen. My passion has only grown with time. Light is the essence of spirit in it’s purest form, so it is a key ingredient in my art. A fleeting expression, a bird taking wing, clouds and sea; everything is transient and everything is permanent when captured by the camera. I enjoy adding my personal slightly surreal vision using alternative digital techniques, texture montage and composite. Some of my images are imagined before I begin and made out of numerous photographs.
2008 was the first year I shared my photos with the public, winning contests and being published has followed, along with being invited to be a featured artist in galleries. My work is now part of numerous private collections. In 2011 I was invited to be a Getty Photographer, which is a great honor. I feel very blessed to be able to follow my artistic passion. It is a dream come true.
I live in South Florida with my husband Bill, and enjoy travels to inspirational destinations. I spend as much time as possible helping raise awareness of Florida Wildlife and Wetlands in local parks and preserves. My desire is to expose people to the beauty of nature and to encourage the protection of our wonderful Earth.
